Scaling with the enterprise

A little philosophy for you today, learned the expensive way over 25 years: the path of least resistance is usually the right one.

Not in the lazy sense — in the "stop forcing things that aren't flowing" sense. Years back I scaled a business out of Coffs Harbour to a decent turnover working with a contractor who eventually moved to China. Different timezone, different pace, and the lesson stuck: the people, tools, and workflows that move with you are worth more than the ones you have to keep dragging along, however good they looked on paper.

All doors stay open at Tecky, always — that hasn't changed and won't. But which doors you walk through on any given day is worth being deliberate about. Chase the flow, not the friction.

Which brings me to the fun part: with SonaCMS now solid enough to build on, it's time to get back to enterprise-grade scaling work — the kind Coffs Harbour was for, just with better tools this time. Two new Linode instances just went live: one for shared SonaCMS sites, one dedicated to the Namgolf production build. More capacity, more momentum.
