A book sale with no shopping cart — on purpose

We just put a book launch live at johnstanton.com.au — and there's a decision inside it I think a few of you will want.

No cart. No checkout. No gateway fees. The buyer picks quantity and delivery, the page tallies the total live, and they pay by direct bank transfer using a reference that matches their payment to their order. That's the whole funnel.

Why bother? Because a full e-commerce build is overkill for a single title, a launch, or a short run — slower and dearer to ship and to maintain. This one went from brief to live in 48 hours — helped along by the client having all the copy, images and details ready to go.

If you're selling one thing, or a handful, and a full store feels like more than you need, this format might be the better fit. Reply and I'll tell you honestly whether it suits what you're doing.

No SonaCMS for this one, as it's just one page plus the orders handling script.
